Councillor Kangethe is responsible for ensuring that all children get the best start in life.
As part of this, Councillor Kangethe is responsible for driving up standards in nurseries, primary and secondary schools and in further education. Councillor Kangethe is also responsible for ensuring education is inclusive and accessible to all students, including children with special educational needs (SEND).
This includes fighting for fairer funding for schools and pupils, driving up participation after young people leave secondary school and encouraging more pupils go into Sixth Form and onto top universities.
